Admission is FREE! Donations are gratefully accepted, suggested levels are: 

      $6.00 - Adults 
      $5.00 - Seniors (65+) and Youth (12-18)
      $3.00 – Children/Students
      $15.00 - Families

Your donation will be used by the Government House Historical Society to support programs, exhibits and collection care.

What to do

New for 2018 we are offering regular scheduled guided museum tours daily at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm.  You can still do self guided tours of the Amédée Forget museum and the J.E.N. Wiebe interpretive centre anytime during our regular hours. You are also welcome to play in our Once Upon a Time room or geocache in the Edwardian Gardens. For more information about event and activities explore the event, program, and exhibit areas of our website.

Where Are We

Government House is located at 4607 Dewdney Ave, just off Pasqua Street.  Please make use of the Visitor Parking lot.  Buses can drop their groups off at the sidewalk entrance in the Visitor Parking lot.

Food services

We are pleased to offer Butler's Pantry, our CASH ONLY seasonal food service. You are welcome to enjoy your snacks as a picnic in the Edwardian Gardens or you can pre-order one of our picnic baskets (please order 1 week in advance, see order form below).

Butler’s Pantry will open for the season May 21, 2018 to September 3, 2018. Plus, you will also be able to purchase some great reading material. We have two books by author Judith Silverthorne; Ghosts of Government House and Ghost in the Garden. Additionally, Government House: An Illustrated History, created by the Government House Historical Society, is a wonderful coffee table book for any home.


Government House is completely wheelchair accessible both inside and outside throughout the year.  Please inquire at the commissionaire’s desk to access one of our complimentary wheelchairs.
