Government House and the Government House Historical Society have worked closely on many projects to preserve, promote and enhance the property as a public heritage site. The next great thing to come from the dynamic duo is a new Docent Program.

This fall stop by Government House and learn about one of the most colourful characters to ever serve as Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan. 

Thanks to a generous donation on behalf of the family of Lieutenant Governor Archibald Peter McNab, Government House has received many items from his personal collection that are now on display. 

McNab often scoffed at much of the formality associated with serving as Lieutenant Governor, whether greeted by royalty, heads-of-state, or the general public, he was fond of saying “Call me Archie; I’ve been called damned near everything but that’s the name I like best!”
